Buffalo Behavior

The American buffaloes are herbivorous animals that graze on grass and sedges. American buffaloes swallow the food without chewing it. Later they regurgitate a cud and chew it. These animals eat in the morning and in the evening. They rest during the day. American buffaloes live in groups. There are 3 types of groups: matriarchal, bull (though some bulls are solitary), and breeding (a combination between the first two groups).
